On Saturday, the three (and a half) of us drove up to Saucalito for the day.
Saucalito is just north of San Francisco. We recently got a van and we wanted to test out all of the features and do a little short day trip to make sure everything was working well. We loved it!
We arrived around lunchtime and found a cute little restaurant to eat at. We ordered shrimp and chips and fish and chips to share and it was delicious! It's called Salitos, so if you're in the area - check it out! Awesome food. And we figured the "chips" part of the meal would be fries -- nope, it was these awesome little baby new potatoes that were smashed and then baked with olive oil. SOOO yummy.
Spencer was tired and after he ate just wanted to cuddle and watch the boats. We were seated outside and right next to the water, it was really fun to watch the boats taking off and coming back. And Spencer had fun impersonating the seagulls. They were hilarious. And he does a pretty good impersonation. :)

Spencer approved of the new headphones to watch movies in the car. We've told him that we can only watch movies in the car when we go on long trips. So, now when we get in the car occasionally he'll say something like "the library is a LOOONG way away from our house ..." ha. Nice try, kid.

After lunch we found a cute little rocky beach to throw rocks in the ocean and just play around. It was a windy and cool day so it wasn't ideal to get in the water, but it was still fun.

This is a view from our car coming down the windy road from the 101 into Saucalito. The views from some of these houses were amazing!!! We decided it would be a great place to retire to.
If we're millionaires someday. :)

Nice pictures. I just wanted to say, I cannot believe you are wearing hoodies in July!! I just have never lived anywhere where that would be a thought! :-)
hahaha oh I'm sure the trip to the library seems VERY long to Spencer. What a hoot! Sounds like a fun way to spend the day -- I'd definitely be OK with retiring there someday too! Beautiful!
We have the same rule with our van and movies. My boys will see other cars with movies playing and will say, "I wonder where they are going on vacation." :-)
