Tonight we drove around a bit to see if we could see more of what's going on around our neighborhood. It looks like many of the fires that are near us have either moved on or are dying down...with the exception of the fire in Stevenson Ranch. The winds there have picked up tonight and it's still growing. It is currently about 5 miles from us and is moving away to the southwest. Below are some videos of what we saw tonight. It looks like things have calmed down to the point where Gordon will be going back to work tomorrow (one of the fires was right next to where Chrissy works and they're without power so she may not be back there for a bit). We'll still be keeping our eyes open though...anything can happen with the wind like this!!

We have been hearing about the fires back here but we didn't realize you were so close to so many of them! Glad you are okay. The pictures and videos are insane!
How scary for you guys. Glad to hear that you are safe...Hopefully they will get them under control soon.
Those videos are crazy! And very scary... California needs a rainstorm in the worst way. At least you get some time off work! Have you had to go back yet? Did Gordon's work shut down at all?
We both took Monday off work. Sunday and Monday were by far the worst days where it was getting close to us. None of the fires ever got near JBL, but when I dropped Chrissy off at work Tuesday the hill right behind her building was completely black!! At least that means it can't burn again (anytime soon) so it's safe for now.

We're finally up on the internet again, and I'm so glad you put up all the info on the fires. The pictures and videos are pretty spectacular. Has it gotten better or worse around you since the last post?
Much much better. I don't know if any fires are still active around us. Unfortunately, the fires in south LA and San Diego are pretty bad I hear.
