Chrissy was a lady bug this year. We went to the dollar store and found some wings and some antennas, stick a couple of dots on her and ... wa la!
No, Gordon is not a fairy...although that's what everyone thought. Have you seen the movie Bug's Life? He's Heimlich, the big caterpillar that sprouts tiny wings. Funny, huh?
The young women were in charge of a booth, and they made this Sponge Bob face and had the kids soak up a sponge with water and try and nail the girl in the face. It was pretty funny.
One of the guys on our committee is an amazing artist, so he drew up this backdrop for pictures and families took turns getting their pictures taken with the scarecrow and the background. It was about 90 degrees this day, so the scarecrow got really hot.
This is the daughter of one of our friends in the ward, we just thought it was a cute picture.
We rented a bounce house for the kids, they had a blast! (Chrissy also tried it out prior to the party....it's pretty fun!)
We rented a cotton candy machine and the kids seemed to love it. It was running all night.

Sure you weren't a fairy. We all believe that.
90 degrees? Halloween night our temperatures got down to 22 degrees. Our leaves are all gone and it is turning ugly.
Yes, now is the time where we start loving living in So. California. Perfect weather all through the year. :) It's weird though, it'll be 45-50 in the morning, so pretty chilly but by the afternoon it's 85...a 40 degree swing! It's a little hard to dress for, but other than that it's wonderful!
Too funny! Ken actually told me about your wings before I saw your blog. He had me rolling picturing you in wings and everyone thinking you were a fairy.
Chrissy- you look fantastic! (You do too Gordon.)
They're hilarious, huh? We thought so too, when we saw them in the store we had to get them for him. :) And, thanks for the compliment that's very sweet!
