Our preschool took a field trip to a nearby working farm/garden for our field trip this month. Each month we do two units - and during each unit we have a coordinating field trip. We were talking about Spring/Gardening so this fit perfectly.
First stop on our tour was the main garden area, the kids were mostly interested in playing in this little fort area surrounded by low trees. They had a blast.
Then we spotted a lizard over here, so we came to check it out and pose for a picture. :)
They had little education boxes throughout the farm that told about the different animals and what we use them for - what products/meat come from the animals. Very interesting.

I just thought this was funny.
A little hen was snuggled up with this HUGE hog.
This is how they milk their goats. They put the goats head through this wooden opening and feed her while the other person milks her while she's distracted. Kind of like how we teach lessons in nursery - teach during snack time while they're distracted. :)
Spencer has been doing a chore chart for about 4 weeks now and is doing awesome! If he checks off all of his boxes, he gets his allowance on Saturday - part of it is split up for tithing and savings and then the rest he can save or spend. At first he would always spend his money that day but now he has been saving it for the past 2 weeks. He's learning!
We hadn't played with brown haired jack in a while. (Even though "white haired Jack" moved away - the name still sticks, lol)
We went to a little bounce house last week with him and the boys ran and ran and ran and had soo much fun. Kelly went to pick up Chick fil a for us and we had a picnic in the back of the van. They were in heaven. "We get to sit back HERE?!"
Our cutie pie is almost four months old now. The time is going SOOO fast.
He's doing better with tummy time. Spencer is great about entertaining him while he's down there. :)
Spencer always asks me to take pictures of them when he's holding him.
We have LOTS of pictures of the two of them on the couch.
Love them.
This guy decided he likes the Bumbo!
Group shot to send to Daddy.
Spencer loves sending Gordon texts while he's at work.
Gordon loves getting them, too. :)
Usually he gets cute pictures like this, but sometimes they are random pictures of the living room or kitchen.
Then Spencer started snapping pictures of me and Daniel.
"Mom, come look what I did to Daniel?"
I was a little afraid to come in there.
Phew, just a washcloth on the head.
Pretty funny, dude.

hahahaha I'm sure you'll be hearing that last phrase many times over the next few years. ;) Let's hope it's always as benign as a washcloth on the head! He really does seem like such a good big brother though, all the pictures of them together are so sweet!
Am I imagining things, or does Daniel totally look like a mini Gordon sometimes? Something about his facial expressions...
You made me homesick/jealous posting about preschool. We really miss doing school with Spencer and Nova! That was the best. I love that we did field trips. I'm glad you're keeping it up. Hazel would have loved a spring/gardening unit.
