It's getting closer!

Last Saturday, two of my great friends - Kelly and Adrianna - threw baby Daniel and I a baby shower. 

It was so fun to celebrate him and get excited about having another boy!  This pregnancy has gone so quickly, and this really helped me to realize that he will be here SOON!!!

They had really yummy food -  a yogurt parfait bar, and delicious treats and really cute decorations.

A few of the moms brought along their little ones, these two had fun playing together.  They were so cute!

We played some really fun party games.  Sometimes baby shower games are a little ... weird. 

But, these were cute!  

The one above is a game where each person had a small container of play dough and they had to try and sculpt the best looking baby.  They were ... creative.  ha!  The winner was the swaddled, purple baby on the lower left.  I should have taken a picture of Kim with her creation - she's a cake decorator so she kind of had a leg up on all of us!

We got lots of cute gifts for Daniel.  This one is a carseat cover that my friend, Julie, makes.  I had been really excited about this!  It has straps on the top to stay on the carseat, can't wait to use it!

We played lots of games, had fun Halloween spooky snacks and partied!

First was pin the nose on the jack-o-lantern.

Then we played pumpkin bowling, Eyeball races (hold a pretend eyeball on a spoon) and decorated our own pumpkins.  They had jack-o-lantern quesadillas for a snack and I think all of the kids had fun!

We go to music class every week and at the class after Halloween one of our friends was giving away glow in the dark vampire teeth.  Too cool.

Spencer has gotten into the habit of coming into our room in the morning and watching a cartoon before we get up.  Sometimes Gordon is home, sometimes not.  It's a nice way to wake up - cuddling (or sleeping another 20 minutes) to Mickey Mouse or Super Why.  :)

Preschool last week was hosed by Suzanne.  We did a Thanksgiving activity and had the kids follow a recipe that she had drawn up and make cookies.  They had a great time tasting each of the ingredients (even the salt - some liked it - Spence did not, yuck) and adding part of the list when it was their turn.  She read "Little Red Hen" to them and then we delivered some of the cookies (after sampling some of course) to our Primary President at church to say thank you for all of her hard work.  The kids had a great time!

We are still LOVING our preschool co-op.  The kids get along great and it's been so fun to see them learning!

Stopping for a "little rest" on our walk the other day.  He loves when people have brick fences like this that he can sit on, or even better when their yard is lined with a brick outline that he can treat like a balance beam.  

We're really having a baby!  Bassinet is in the room and all.  

I might have two boys in my room for a while ...
