The latest

Spencer is starting to talk a lot more lately.  He's been putting together little sentences and he's always so proud of himself when he says something new.  He learned these two new words yesterday and said them over and over and over.

Today we found the library!  It is only a few blocks away from our new house and I'm so excited that we'll be able to walk there each week for story time.  In our last place, the library story times were always packed and you had to be on a waiting list to get in.  It's so nice to just be able to go whenever we want.  They have 3 story times each week, and one in the evenings so the whole family can come.  Yay!

On another note ...

We went to church for the second time since we moved here.  (Obviously, we don't know many people yet.)  We sat down and I realized I had forgotten to pack any wipes.  Spencer was eating crackers and I needed to clean him (and the floor) up so Gordon offered to get some paper towels wet.  He was gone for about 5 minutes and came back all embarrassed.  He went to get the towels and took his time folding them neatly into the wipe container so that they were easy to grab if we had to change a diaper and then he looked up and saw two ladies walking in.  Uh .... WOOPS!  They asked if it was the ladies room and he said he just tucked his head and mumbled, "Sorry" and took off!  Haha.  Nice first impression, huh?

"Oh, your husband is the guy that I saw in the Womens bathroom ..."

Yup.

OK, those little tiger headphones -- cutest thing ever! like, really.

And also, sad story for Gordon and first impressions, but have to say that it's quite amusing. :) Hopefully you guys are liking your new ward so far! Being the newbie is no fun, but hopefully your ward is small enough that you can get to know people fast!!

Haha, poor Gordon. I would've been pretty embarrassed too!

That's so great about the story time thing and not waiting on a wait list! Wait lists are never fun. Good thing it's close, too!

Good luck in your new ward and hope all goes well!

Lol! Poor Gordon! Tell him not to feel bad though... hasn't everyone done that?
