This has nothing to do with Halloween.
I just thought they looked super cute watching cartoons together.
And it looks a lot like a picture that was taken of Gordon and his Dad when he was about this age.
We arrived home from a FUN trip to LA (post to come later) at about 5:55 pm on Saturday.
We unloaded the car, changed into costume and headed to the church for the party!
The whole car ride there Spencer was rehearsing what to say ...
"I say ...'trick or treat' and then I take candy and then I say 'thanks!'"
They had about 6-8 games around the perimeter of the gym for the kids to play. Spencer had a ball. Literally. haha.
Spencer scored. There were about 20 cars in the parking lot.
Our church does a 'trunk or treat' the Saturday before. They open their trunks (all decorated for Halloween) and the kids go from trunk to trunk collecting treats. He had so much fun!!
Monday night we had some good friends over (and their cute trick or treaters) for dinner and then we all went out together to trick or treat.
The kids had mummy hot dogs and Adrianna and Dan made awesome squash soup and bread for the adults. Everyone was happy.
When you tell Spencer to say cheese, you either get this face ...
Or this one ...
Spencer's good buddy, Jack, came over Monday morning to decorate pumpkins with us. Then we all went to a bounce house/pumpkin patch down the street to play. The kids had a great time! And of course, the Moms had fun chatting too. :)
The first door was our neighbors. They are SO sweet.
When they saw Spencer, they gave him his candy and then their daughter came to the door with a brand new matchbox car for him. He loved it. It was yellow, 'just like his bee costume'. :)
Random lady that was dressed like a bee when we came to her door. She made a big scene yelling to Spencer "my long lost son!"
He ran right up to her for a picture. :)

Sometimes trick or treating is hard work.
By the end, the kids were pooped and didn't even want to carry their candy bags because they were "SO heavy!"
Oh the pains of Halloween.
We hope you all had a great one too!!!

our puppy was a bumble bee this year too! Sounds like a fantastic Halloween weekend -- oh, the woes of having too much candy! ;)
Love the costume and the cheese face. Such a cutie!
