Time flies

I had no idea it had been almost a month since our last entry. Sorry to the Grandma's and extended family who are so sweet and check our blog. Here's a little re-cap of our recent adventures ...

A few weeks ago, we made a drive to Utah for Gordon's grandmother's funeral. She was such a great lady. We were so grateful to be able to attend the funeral, see Grandpa and other family members and reflect on the wonderful life that she lived here. She was really a great example to all of us.

The trip was wonderful, but we were a bit nervous about how the Spence-man would do in the car. We decided to split the drive into two days, stopping in Mesquite where the hotels are inexpensive.

If that's not the cutest thing you've seen all day ...

We were able to stay with Gordon's brother, Wray, and his cute family while we were there. We also got to visit with his other siblings, parents and cousins. One day, we ventured out with the little tykes to a museum on BYU's campus. The kids loved it.

However, Spencer didn't love taking this picture so much.

We also took the kids to a splash park in Salt Lake. They had a great time. By the end of the day, Spencer would follow Warren out there anywhere he wanted to take him. If they lived closer, they could be good buds. At least, Spencer would love to tag along with him. :)

More in the museum. Spencer says "dah' for duck still, but he says "cah" for quack. It's really cute.

It was a happy coincidence that Wray and Natalie had just had another cute baby girl. They blessed her while we were there.

There was lots of playing with and a good deal of fighting over this fun car.
