Here's a huge update, y'all!!!
We finally found a clear night to break out the telescope. The boys loved it!
Mom and son dates have become a regular thing around here. Every month on the second Tuesday I take one of the boys out. Spence and I tried fondue and he loved it!
Dress like your favorite storybook character day 2016, Spence was Harold from Captain Underpants. I was a proud Mama! Ha!
These kids loved our crab fest night! Who knew kids could totally destroy two crabs! Delish!
Mother and Son dance 2016 at Vargas Elementary. I sure love spending time with Spencer. He's a gem.
Of course the boys have their squabbles, but for the most part they all get along and take really good care of one another. Just the other day, we heard the boys talking in their beds at night - we went in to see why they weren't sleeping! They were talking about how they want to be roommates in college and how fun it will be. Melt my heart! I love those boys.
June 2016, Josh's first beach trip!
Santa Cruz - off 13th street beach. We love it!
Our kids still talk about this trip to Great Wolf Lodge - in Southern California that we took at the beginning of the year in 2016. They say it was the best vacation of all time. Gordon and I agree. There was a water park in the basement, bowling, mini golf, arcade and restaurants all right there in the hotel. It was perfect for our family. The boys were so happy and having my boys play in the water and splash around is definitely my happy place. Plus, we were able to get a joined room suite, so it was actually a vacation for Mom and Dad too! Score.
Spencer won "Principal for a day" at the silent auction in February. He redeemed it in May. It was "the best day ever". The best part? Getting to wear her whistle at recess. :)
Easter Egg time!
More Great Wolf Lodge and below Principal for the day, out of order. Mrs. Grasty, our awesome principal made the day so special for him. He gave the morning announcements on the blacktop during the school wide Friday assembly, had the whistle at recess, and got In and Out for lunch with her. :)
