Happy Birthday!

 

TWO?!?!  Yes, he's two.  We cannot believe it.

Daddy bought him this button-up shirt for his birthday.  He was adorable!

"I'm ready to go!"

Gordon took off work on Monday for Spencer's birthday and we met up with some of Spencer's friends from play group at Chick-fil-a for lunch.  He loves playing at the play place there.  Well ... usually.  On Monday, he didn't want to be in there, so he just played out in the seating area with us and his bud, Caroline.  He was very excited that they had PURPLE STRAWS there.  If you know Spencer, you know he LOVES straws.  Straws and spoons and he's a happy kid.  :)

After his nap, we had dinner and then went to a Christmas lights party at our friend's home.  We met there for hot cocoa and treats and then we all made a caravan to look at the lights in some fun neighborhoods.  Once we got to the neighborhood, we let Spencer sit up on my lap to see the lights better.  He had a BLAST!  

Since people have started putting out their lights and decorations he's learned what a snowman, reindeer and Santa Claus look like.  He loves to point them out.  The whole ride he was saying, "More snowman!" 

This is a whole yard decorated in Simpson's Christmas style.  We took this picture for Gordon's side of the family.  They're all huge Simpson's fans.  Me?  Not so much.

This was the COOLEST house.  I wish we could have taken a better picture.  They had a polar bear theme.  You can kind of see the polar bears as they're sitting on the roof in front of the window made to look like a fireplace.  It was awesome!  They had it decked out! 

Since it was his birthday, we let him sit on Daddy's lap on our street for a minute.  Clearly, he LOVED it.
